From 2003 to 2004, he was a test engineer to develop the optical and electrical test systems for organic light emitting diode (OLED) panels in Chi-Mei Optoelectronics. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with major of Photonics in 2009 from University of California, Berkeley. His Ph.D. research includes tunable high-Q optical resonators and optofluidic integration of III-V lasers on a silicon platform. His research interests are optical MEMS, photonic integrated circuits, and CMOS silicon photonics.
