548 Zhi Wang was born in Hubei province, China, in 1971. He received the B.Sc. degree in physics from Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, in 1993 and the Ms.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from Beijing Jiaotong University in 1996, and 2000, respectively. From July 2004 to August 2005, he served as a Research Associate with the Department of Electronics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is currently with the Institute of Optical Information, Beijing Jiaotong University, where he is working with microstructured optical fibers, optical fiber sensing, all-optical network, and all-optical signal processing. Dr. Wang is a member of OSA and SPIE.
