Biography
Jared Hulme received his B.S in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2008. He received his Masters (2012) and PhD (2017) in Electronics and Photonics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research focused on hybrid III/V-silicon ring-based tunable lasers and their applications in photonic integrated circuits. He has done work on the DARPA SWEEPER project, which involves the integration of 164 components to create a 2-dimensional beam-steering device with no moving parts. He also worked in collaboration with Keysight Technologies to build a fully integrated photonic microwave generator. After graduation he took a post-doc position with Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Palo Alto.
