Justin Norman

Justin Norman received Bachelor's Degrees in physics and chemical engineering in 2013, and a PhD in Materials from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2018. His PhD work focused primarily on the development of InAs quantum dot lasers for epitaxial integration on silicon demonstrating world record performance and reliability, but he also developed materials for single photon sources, THz photoconductors, and excitonic devices, mostly in the arsenide and phosphide materials systems. As a postdoctoral researcher, his efforts are focused on improving the reliability and high temperature performance of epitaxial quantum dot lasers on silicon and pursuing silicon photonic waveguide integration.
